What you track you can measure!
There is so much technology out these days.
And the fitness world is no different.
From sleep trackers to step trackers to video training mirrors and everything in between.
There is so much out there that it can become overwhelming to understand what actually works.
And what will actually help you.
First, you do not need any of this technology to make great progress!
But, it can help if used properly.
One of the best ways to use technology is to track data.
Because what you track you can measure.
This allows you to see what is working, and what isn’t, and then you can make changes.
You can track…
Your lifts
Your sleep
Your food intake
Your steps
Your weight
Your energy
Your body fat
Your muscle mass
And almost anything else
I use a lot of tracking personally and with my coaching clients. If we don’t, then we have no idea what is working.
One of my favorite pieces of tech is the Oura Ring.
It allows me to track sleep, steps, body temp, heart rate, plus a lot of other things.
This allows me to know where I am at and make progress.
With my clients, we track everything from the weights they lift each session to their mood each week.
Some technology works great for me and my business and there are some that can be helpful to you.
If you use it consistently, even if it isn’t the most accurate technology, it will be accurate to you and your body.
But for many, it can be overwhelming, especially if you are just starting out with your health journey.
So don’t feel like you need all this technology but it can be a helpful tool though.
What types of fitness/health tech are you using?
