Have you ever felt disappointed, upset, or uncomfortable with where you are at in life?
I know I have.
Trying to fit in.
Being someone you are not.
Feeling like you are doing things that don’t fit with your values and not leading you down the path you want to go.
Sound familiar?
I know it does for me.
During college, I got lured into the party lifestyle.
Staying out late.
Drinking 2, 3, 4, 5 nights a week.
Eating garbage.
This lifestyle went on for years after college too.
All the drinking and staying up late was making me fat, lazy, and out of shape and was not leading me down the road I wanted to go.
I was stuck in crappy jobs that I hated.
I was unhappy with my physical looks and weight.
I didn’t like who I saw in the mirror.
Then I finally hit rock bottom when I got my blood test and my testosterone was at the levels of a 90-year-old man.
I slowly started to make changes with training, nutrition, and sleep.
But the best change came last year when I decided to eliminate something from my life.
I stopped drinking alcohol.
Over the last five years, I can probably count on both hands the number of drinks I have had.
And haven’t had any since over a year ago.
And man, how much better I feel!
Feeling better, looking better, moving better, and no more hangovers!
Sometimes all it takes is getting rid of something that is causing you the issues.
For me it was alcohol.
If you drink alcohol that is your choice be you. But I know that nothing positive comes from drinking and it destroyed my health and well-being.
Have you eliminated anything that has made your life better?
Let me know in the comments.
