Follow these 6 rules if you want to be an athlete 4 life!
Did your dreams of being an athlete end after your senior year?
Have you let life get in the way of staying athletic and being in shape?
The good news is that you don’t have to be lazy and out of shape anymore. You control your health!
It is your responsibility.
If you want to be an athlete 4 life, follow these rules.
1. Consistency. Be consistent with 2-6. What good is a training plan if you don’t follow it? What good is it if you only eat well every once in a while?
2. Sleep. Work to get at least 7 hours of sleep per night. More if you can. Create a sleep routine and go to bed and wake up at the same time each day.
3. Follow a quality nutrition plan. Focus on whole, real, nutritious foods. Eat a lot of protein along with quality carbs, and fats. The amount of each you need will differ from person to person. If you want to gain lean muscle, eat in a surplus. If you want to burn fat, eat in a deficit.
4. Quality training plan. Lift heavy weights to get strong, build muscle, and develop a resilient bulletproof body. Lift light weights fast. Moving lighter weight fast will help you build and keep power. One key thing that we lose as we age. Sprint, jump and throw. These are things athletes do. So keep doing them as you no matter how old you are.
5. Move. Get up and move daily. Walk, do chores, bike, play with the kids.
6. Manage stress. Make sure you are spending time recovering. Use sleep, nutrition, breathwork, walking, and spending time with family as a way to get away from training and recover from all the stress.
