One of my favorite groups to work with is youth athletes.
That is why it pains me to see so many youth athletes struggling with the same things.
Some issues I see with youth athletes:
❌Not eating enough
❌Playing too many sports or on too many teams at the same time
❌Playing one sport all year with no break
❌Not training
❌Trying to train like a pro athlete
❌Not sleeping
❌Too much conditioning
that doesn’t translate to sport aka running all the time
❌Too many parents and coaches monitoring their every move and not letting them be kids.
Instead…
✅Eat enough whole, nutrient-dense foods
✅Play one sport per season on one team
✅Instead of wasting money on showcases, AAU & club teams, etc. invest that money on training and nutrition
✅Take time off and train and recover.
✅Get proper Speed & Strength training. It will help them in sports and life.
✅Focus on training for their individual level. We all develop at a different pace.
✅Focus on sleep
That is why it is my goal to help young athletes with all of these issues.
Our programming takes into account everything they are doing to make sure they don’t overdo it and get enough rest. Off the field is probably more important than on the field so that is why it is so important to us.
